CARNAGE NOIR is a seven-person student game modification project created from Jonathan Soderstrom’s Super Carnage, a GameMaker top- down shooter prototype from 2004 that would go on to become Hotline Miami. The game had been considered lost for years until it was rediscovered in 2019. It was really exciting to be able to make a mod for a piece of forgotten gaming history! Someone is on a warpath… but why? As the killer, you’ll brutally fight your way through three different locations, leaving no man standing. As the detective, you’ll search each murder scene for clues and attempt to piece together the story behind the violence. Who will survive the night?
