Games in the Double Panel edition of the series, like Airport Panic released in 1982, featured two LCD panels stacked on top of each other that allowed the games to progress across two distinct stages for more variation in gameplay. Gameplay Hijackers have boarded a plane at the airport and taken the passengers hostage. Your mission is to board the plane and take out the hijackers. Gameplay takes place over two stages: Stage 1 - At the airport Move across the runway and board the airplane from the right side of the staircase. Watch out for bombs being thrown by the hijackers from the airplane. You can hide behind cars crossing the runway to avoid the bombs. Successfully board the airplane 3 times to advance to the next stage. Stage 2 - In the airplane Once onboard the airplane you'll need to shoot the hijacker 10 times to rescue the passengers and crew. But be careful not to inadvertently shoot passengers jumping up from their seats which will result in a penalty of 30 points. If you're shot by the hijacker you'll lose 1 life. Lose all 3 lives and the game is over.
